Relatives and Kinship
Our overall work in this project was to focus on developing systems and support to relatives in order to ensure their participation in the active care of our elderly. How can we all benefit from family ties and cross generation involvement?
We wanted to look at similarities and differences between our countries and how we could learn from each other.
Other examples of what we looked at were:
- How can we organize the care of elderly in co-operation with their relatives?
- How can we improve our support (financial/professional) to relatives who want to take care of their elderly?
- Which alternative systems can be developed in extreme rural areas?
- How can new techniques be utilized?
Project Organization
All national project groups worked in a close cooperation with each other over our nation’s boundaries.
A transnational cooperation was one of our key factors for the success of our project.
Each of our national subprojects was headed by a local project leader.
